lossmap is the drone property-assessment brand of Temporary RV Living, LLC, doing business as 1st Choice Living (“we”, “us”, or “1CL”). These terms apply when you use lossmap.io, order a shoot, or apply to fly for us. By placing an order or submitting an application you agree to them. We have written them in plain language so you know what to expect. Questions go to flynow@lossmap.io or (214) 493-1515.
Ordering and payment
Submitting the order form is a request, not a confirmed booking. We review each request, confirm that we can cover the property, and then send you pricing and next steps. Payment is not collected on the website. Depending on the payment method you chose we will send a secure card payment link processed by Stripe, an invoice on net-30 terms for approved companies, or bill an adjuster account on file. Package prices shown on the site are our standard rates and may change. Custom and commercial work is quoted before we fly. Payment is due before delivery unless we have agreed to invoice terms in writing.
Scheduling, weather, and airspace
We schedule around your preferred date and confirm a flight window with you. Drone flights depend on things we do not control: rain, wind, low cloud, temporary flight restrictions, controlled airspace authorizations, and site access. If a flight cannot happen safely or legally on the scheduled day we will tell you as soon as we know and reschedule at no extra charge. We do not fly when it is unsafe or against FAA rules, and we will not ask a pilot to. Please make sure the property is accessible on the day and that anyone on site knows a flight is planned.
What you receive
Each package lists the deliverables it includes, typically edited photos, video, and an online gallery you can view, download, and share. We deliver through a link sent to the email on your order. Once your order is paid in full you may use the delivered images and video for your property freely: in claims, reports, listings, repairs, records, or anywhere else you need them. We keep a copy so we can resend it and support you later. We may only use identifiable imagery of your property in our own marketing with your permission.
Pilots
Flights are performed by vetted local pilots who hold an FAA Part 107 remote pilot certificate. Pilots are independent contractors, not employees of 1CL. Each pilot is responsible for operating legally and safely, for their own equipment and insurance, and for complying with FAA rules and local law. If you apply to fly for us, you confirm that the information in your application is accurate and that your certificate is current.
Cancellations and refunds
You can cancel an order at any time before a flight is scheduled by emailing us, and we will handle any refund case by case, usually in full if no work has started. Once a pilot has been assigned and a flight window confirmed, cancellations may carry a fee to cover the pilot’s time and travel. If we cancel because we cannot cover your property, you will not be charged. If you are unhappy with a delivery, tell us within seven days and we will work with you to fix it, which may include a re-fly or a partial or full refund at our discretion.
Not an inspection
lossmap provides aerial imagery and visual documentation. It is not a licensed home, roof, or structural inspection, an engineering report, or an insurance determination. We do not guarantee that imagery will show every defect or that it will be accepted by any insurer, lender, adjuster, or authority. Decisions about coverage, repairs, or purchase should be made with the appropriate licensed professional.
Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate information on the order form.
- Confirm you own the property or have permission from the owner to have it photographed from the air.
- Tell us about gate codes, dogs, restricted areas, or anyone who needs notice.
- Do not use the site or our services for anything unlawful.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including lost claims, lost sales, or delays caused by weather, airspace restrictions, or other events outside our control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Texas law.
Website use
The content on lossmap.io, including text, logos, and design, belongs to 1CL or its licensors. You may not copy or reuse it without permission. We may change or suspend parts of the site at any time. Sample imagery shown on the site is illustrative.
Privacy
How we handle your information is covered in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Collin County, Texas, and you agree to that venue. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
Changes to these terms
When we change these terms we will update the date at the top of the page. Orders placed after a change are covered by the new version.
